I went to the private view of Pick Me Up last night at Somerset House thanks to Nina bagging me a couple of free passes. It's on until Monday May 3rd and I really recommend going to see it if you have any interest in modern contemporary illustration and graphic design. There's a hell of a lot of work on display and lots of it is for sale too.

I recently finished my Easter internship with illustrator Nina Chakrabarti. I had a really fantastic time working with Nina on the Italian and French translations of her very successful colouring book, My Wonderful World of Fashion (click on the link to go to the Amazon page with some inside scans of the book). Her studio in Stockwell, south London is really light and airy, I'd really love to work in a space like that at some point in the hopefully not too distant future.

Here are some wonky photos of a few of my favourite pieces from the British Museum's exhibition on the work of Mexican printmakers made between 1910-1960. I would've liked to have snapped a few of the Day of the Dead pieces, but I started feeling really sick about 40 minutes into the exhibition and had to go home! Annoying.
